We are looking for a motivated Developer/Web Developer to join our growing team! This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a keen interest in software development, eager to work on a healthcare case intake tool used by pharmaceutical companies, healthcare professionals and members of the general public.
PharSafer® is a specialist Pharmacovigilance & Medical Service CRO, headquartered in the UK, with offices in India. Due to continued company growth, we are seeking an enthusiastic and committed Developer/Web Developer to be based in India. This role is home-based, and whilst working remotely, you will become part of a dynamic team, contributing to the enhancement and maintenance of a critical industry application.
As a Developer/Web Developer, you will support the development and optimisation of our web application, built on a .NET backend with a Vue.js frontend, hosted on Azure. You will collaborate with senior developers to improve performance, security, and code maintainability whilst gaining hands-on experience in a regulated industry, with a range of responsibilities including:
Responsibilities:
- Assist in resolving bugs and troubleshooting software issues.
- Contribute to the development of new features to enhance application functionality.
- Collaborate on upgrading outdated frameworks to ensure system stability.
- Improve code maintainability via refactoring, modularisation, and adherence to SOLID principles.
- Support the implementation of automated testing (unit, integration, and E2E) to improve test coverage.
- Assist in optimising database queries and integrating caching mechanisms.
- Work on security improvements to meet industry standards and best practices.
- Contribute to the maintenance of Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines and cloud resource management.
Qualifications & Skills:
- 3+ years’ experience in development roles, with exposure to regulated industries such as Drug Safety or Healthcare Software Development preferred.
- Proficiency in C# and ASP.NET Core.
- Experience with Vue.js 2/3 (Options API/Composition API) and JavaScript/TypeScript for frontend development.
- Basic understanding of relational databases (MS SQL) and performance optimisation.
- Ability to write clean, well-documented code and troubleshoot using debugging tools (Visual Studio, Chrome DevTools).
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and test-driven development (TDD).
- Experience with Azure Cloud Services (e.g., App Services, SQL Server, Key Vault, DevOps Pipelines).
- Strong problem-solving skills with great attention to detail.
- Proactive communication to collaborate with remote teams.
- Eagerness to learn complex domains and industry-specific regulations.
