World Drug Safety Congress Europe 2026

Date: 23rd-24th September 2026

Location: Amsterdam, Netherlands

Booth: #514

PharSafer is pleased to be returning to World Patient Safety Congress Europe 2026, bringing together pharmacovigilance, patient safety and drug safety professionals from across the global life sciences industry.

As the pharmacovigilance landscape continues to evolve, safety teams are navigating increasingly complex operational and regulatory demands – from growing case volumes and global oversight requirements to changing data sources, outsourcing models and the increasing role of automation.

Throughout WPSC Europe, the PharSafer team will be available at Booth #514 to discuss these challenges and how organisations can build more scalable, consistent and effective pharmacovigilance operations.

Hear from Dr Graeme Ladds

Outsourced Pharmacovigilance: Why It Still Feels Inconsistent – and How to Regain Control

Date: Wednesday 23rd September 2026

Time: 12:20-12:40 PM

Location: Outsourcing | E108

Outsourcing pharmacovigilance is intended to improve flexibility and scalability – yet inconsistency remains a persistent challenge.

Variability can begin at the point of vendor selection, where limited or inconsistent pre-qualification, minimal assessment of competency and cost-driven decisions can introduce risk from the outset.

This can then be compounded during onboarding and over time, where differences in process design, interpretation and quality management systems can impact consistency.

While oversight mechanisms such as SLAs and KPIs provide visibility, they do not always deliver control. As a result, organisations can find themselves increasing governance effort without achieving consistent outcomes.

In this session, Dr Graeme Ladds, CEO of PharSafer, will explore where these challenges emerge across the outsourcing lifecycle and practical approaches organisations can take to regain greater consistency and control.

Key discussion areas:

  • Why variability can persist across outsourced pharmacovigilance models
  • Common gaps in vendor selection, pre-qualification and competency assessment
  • How onboarding and QMS integration can influence consistency over time
  • The limitations of traditional oversight approaches, including SLAs and quality metrics
  • Maintaining quality as people, processes, systems and requirements change
  • Practical approaches to improving standardisation and control across global outsourced operations

VIEW THE WPSC EUROPE AGENDA

Pharmacovigilance is changing. Are your operations keeping pace?

WPSC Europe comes at a time of continued change across the pharmacovigilance landscape.

Organisations are considering how to adopt AI and automation while maintaining appropriate governance and oversight, respond to evolving regulatory expectations, manage increasingly diverse sources of safety data, accommodate growing case volumes, and maintain quality across increasingly complex global operating models.

For many safety teams, the challenge isn’t simply responding to one individual development – it’s ensuring that people, processes, technology and quality systems continue to evolve together.

PharSafer provides specialist support across the product lifecycle, helping organisations respond to changing requirements while maintaining the quality, scalability and oversight required for effective patient safety.
